MJ Quinn are delighted to be supporting Football for Change. 2020 has been a difficult year for us all and has led to great uncertainty for our young people. Football for Change brings together football stars and business leaders in a collective goal to change the lives of young people in some of the most challenged communities in the UK.
This social mobility initiative is being led Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jamie Carragher and Everton’s Anthony Gordon and aims to transform the lives of disadvantaged young people. The primary focus of the initiative is to raise the aspirations of young people at most risk of taking the wrong turn in life and to support school leavers – those facing adversity and not in education employment or training (NEET) – who need a helping hand to reach their full potential.
MJ Quinn have signed up to become a Football for Change Champion and will play an integral part within the initiative from the onset.
“Football for Change is about helping young people onto a positive path. It is footballers and business leaders coming together with a goal to help improve the life chances and opportunities of young people from some of the most challenged neighbourhoods in the country. It is a brilliant initiative and I know from growing up in Liverpool that is it needed now more than ever.”Trent Alexander Arnold – Liverpool and England International Player
“Football for Change can change lives by giving young people, who’ve often felt left out or behind in challenged communities, a fair chance in life. It is all about giving them the tools to do something positive whether than be education, employment or in sport.”Jamie Carragher – Former Liverpool and England International Player
“Whatever team you support, this is a vital initiative and is needed more than ever. I am proud to support it.”Anthony Gordon – Everton Football Club
“As a business MJ Quinn have always strived to support our community, working with local charities and community groups to help give something back. We are delighted to be supporting the Football for Change initiative, particularly at a time when our young people are facing such uncertainty and may feel there are a lack of career opportunities. At MJ Quinn we have achieved so much by aiming high and working hard, we want to inspire the next generation to do exactly the same.”Alan O’Prey – Managing Director MJ Quinn
The initiative will officially launch on 23rd October and more information can be found here: www.footballforchange.org.uk/
