Following a competitive tender process, MJ Quinn were one of two partners chosen by Openreach to play a crucial role in building a new network for thousands of premises in the North West.
Around 900,000 more North West homes and businesses will benefit from a broadband boost in the region of £360m. People living and working in parts of Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside, are all set to benefit from Openreach’s national upgrade plan, with the majority of premises in each area gaining access to the latest Ultrafast, ultra-reliable Full Fibre broadband. Locations include Aintree, Blackpool, Hale, Hyde, Kirkham, Rochdale and Wigan. Work will take place between now and 2026.
MJ Quinn will play a vital role in building the network with detailed planning activity already underway. As part of the contract, MJ Quinn will be responsible for construction tasks such as: surveying, building, testing and supporting Openreach to commission the network so that customers can place order
