JOB DESCRIPTION

Please note this job entails lone working.

We are currently resourcing experienced Telecoms Engineers to carry out simple provision work on the BT Openreach Network for a national contract.

The work involves installing telephone systems by working inside roadside located cabinets (PCP). You will jumper wires from the e-side to the d-side of the cabinet and complete line tests to ensure good working lines for the end user.

You will be willing to work in all weather conditions. Foul weather PPE will be supplied along with a vehicle, tools and the equipment required to complete every job safely and to the highest standards.

Customer satisfaction is key aspect of any work you will carry out and first impressions count. You will need to be customer focused, polite and well-presented.

You will be employed on a sub-contract basis and not PAYE, if you are looking for PAYE then please do not apply.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Willing to travel to and from various job locations within your working area
  • Be prepared to work away from home to meet operational requirements if needed
  • Be prepared to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work alone using your own initiative
  • Be highly motivated with attention to detail
  • After training, work using hand held testing equipment and PDA tablets etc.
  • Be flexible with regard to working hours as you are paid on a job completion and appointment completion basis
  • If required, be prepared to work weekends (normally Saturdays if needed)
  • Attend accredited training courses if required
  • Be computer literate and after training be able to install and set up routers, modems and WI-FI.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

  • Be prepared to undergo a DBS check (formally CRB).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Well presented
  • Excellent customer service skills.

NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working work BT, Sky or Virgin media
  • Previous experience of telecoms, working off ladders or external network installation.
  • Have worked in an Engineering or technical environment and have relevant work experience

FLEET ADMINISTRATOR.

FULL TIME MONDAY-FRIDAY, 40 HOURS PER WEEK BETWEEN 7AM AND 6PM.

The Fleet Administrator will, under the direction of the Fleet Manager, be jointly responsible for the upkeep of all vehicle records in both paper and electronic format, dealing with a high volume of phone calls from field-based operatives, liaising with suppliers to organise vehicle repairs, swaps, servicing etc. and liaising with local councils for the settlement of fines and other vehicle related charges.

The Fleet Administrator will use IT systems such as Sage 200 and a bespoke Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform to record and update information, run reports and process transactions; ensuring at all times both internal and external stakeholders are communicated with in a timely and professional manner.

KEY TASKS/MAIN DUTIES

  • Maintaining vehicle records on CRM and completion, and subsequent filing of paperwork
  • Maintaining CRM Departures database on CRM; ensuring relevant departments are informed where appropriate
  • Raise purchase orders on Sage for vehicle related expenditure
  • Maintain the vehicle listing on the London Congestion Charge account
  • Process insurance claims through the internal systems and liaise with the nominated insurance company
  • Weekly validation of vehicle hire reports and resolution of any discrepancies
  • Weekly validation of vehicle insurance records and resolution of any discrepancies
  • Liaison with Resolution Law and similar companies for recovery of excess payments and any uninsured losses
  • Liaison with suppliers to organise the repair and/or maintenance and servicing of vehicles nationally; in line with manufacturers’ instructions and/or lease agreements
  • Liaison with both office and field-based operatives on all vehicle related matters
  • Completion and recording of Notice of Intended Prosecution forms from national Police forces
  • Processing of vehicle related fines and charges online, creation of event on CRM and subsequent re-charge claim processing.
  • Assist with the issuing and control of company fuel cards
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with Economical and Environmental policies relating to commercial vehicle usage
  • To undertake additional ad hoc duties under the direction of line manager in line with the needs of the business.
  • Produce all work in line with M J Quinn Integrated Services Ltd’s Quality Standards and use best practice methods.
  • To comply with all General Policies and Procedures.
  • Adhere to all relevant company policies and procedures addressing data protection, data security, cyber security and access to data and information collected, processed and stored by the company.
  • Assist and support the company in all areas of compliance with current data protection and information security laws.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum GCSE, or equivalent, C Grade in English and Maths

Previous experience working as an Administrator within the Fleet or Logistics industry

Previous experience liaising with field-based operatives and co-ordinating nationally

Good level of ability on Microsoft packages such as Excel, Office and Word

Good level of ability on Sage 200 or equivalent Accounts software

Good level of ability on a CRM system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics based

Data inputting skills

Presentable/professional appearance

Strong communication skills

Confident.

Willingness to do a broad range of work.

Desire to learn and improve knowledge and skills.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

Vehicle management Diploma/Certificate

Previous experience dealing with a fleet of vehicles or group of operatives sized over 500

Previous experience working with blue chip organisations such as BT, Virgin Media and Vodafone

Knowledge of vehicle maintenance

Knowledge of vehicle hire and leasing

Willingness to undergo refresher or further training to ensure continually using best practice methods
