Over a four-week period in June and July, MJ Quinn were externally audited by a UKAS approved auditing body against the following International Standards:
MJ Quinn have held these accreditations for over 12 years, and they have grown to cover most of our activities. The audit this time was a re-certification audit, as certification must be renewed every 3 years, so this time around the audit sample was wider and more intense meaning that MJ Quinn constantly need to adapt to these standards which improve the way we work.
As these accreditations measure and monitor our systems and procedures against International recognised standards, they give existing clients and potential new ones a differential between companies tendering for their work. As such, these accreditations are required to be held and maintained across most of our client base.
The Audit
The audit took place over 3 weeks and was a blend of fact finding, data collection, observations, interviewing and sharing best practice. Auditors visited our offices in Knowsley and spoke to members of the Operational team at each location. In addition auditors visited a number of both Energy and Telecoms sites. Auditors interviewed a wide range of members of the team from our Senior Board Members to site-based engineers.
We are proud to state that MJ Quinn have successfully passed the audit and have had our accreditations renewed. Auditors have produced a lengthy report of positive findings which highlight both strengths and areas for improvement across the business and our systems and included:-

What Happens Next?
Following the audit we have actions to complete to ensure our continuous improvement. We will continue to integrate the systems across the activities of the business.
