Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day

On June 23rd, we proudly celebrated International Women in Engineering Day. This special day is dedicated to recognising the outstanding contributions of women in the engineering field. At MJ Quinn, we were thrilled to share stories from our talented female engineers who shared their experiences and achievements. Their stories highlighted their incredible work and inspired many of us to continue pushing boundaries in the engineering industry. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and make a difference.

Show your Stripes

June 21st marked our Dress Down Day supporting the Show Your Stripes campaign. This initiative aims to raise global awareness about human-caused climate change and its impacts on our health and homes. Our employees participated by dressing in casual attire featuring the campaign’s distinctive colours/ patterns, symbolising the rise in global temperatures over the years. It was a day filled with meaningful conversations about climate action and sustainability, reinforcing our dedication to environmental responsibility.

Kick Out Cancer Cup Challenge

A highlight of this month was the “Kick out Cancer Cup” challenge. A spirited group of our employees laced up their boots and took to the field, competing head-to-head with teams from other companies. This event was not just about the competition; it was a powerful way to support cancer research and raise funds for those affected. Our team showcased incredible teamwork and sportsmanship, all while contributing to a cause that is close to our hearts. We are proud of their efforts and the positive impact they made.

5k Inflatable Run for Foothold for Engineers

To round off the month, a group of enthusiastic MJ Quinn employees participated in the 5k Inflatable Run, supporting Foothold for Engineers. This fun and challenging event involved navigating a course filled with inflatable obstacles. Our team’s participation helped raise funds for Foothold, an organisation dedicated to providing support and resources for engineers in need. It was a day of laughter, hard work and community spirit, reflecting our ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting those in our industry.
