MJ Quinn supports free Shakespeare North Playhouse Theatre Tickets for Knowsley School Children

Around 1,800 pupils across Knowsley will soon have the opportunity to experience live theatre at the Shakespeare North Playhouse, completely free of charge, thanks to a fantastic initiative made possible by Knowsley Council and it’s partners.

Through MJ Quinn’s ongoing work delivering major improvements at Halewood Leisure Centre, we’re proud that our social value contribution is helping to open the doors of this world‑class cultural venue to young people across the borough. Supporting initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for local communities is a key part of how we work, and we’re delighted to see this project come to life.

Providing access to cultural experiences like this can inspire creativity, build confidence, and spark new interests among young people. We believe these opportunities can have a lasting impact, and we’re thrilled to be supporting a project that will benefit pupils from schools right across Knowsley.

Karl Monaghan, Director at MJ Quinn, said:
“MJ Quinn is incredibly proud to support this fantastic initiative, which will give so many young people across Knowsley the chance to experience the magic of live theatre. Our current project at Halewood Leisure Centre is focused on major decarbonisation works—improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon output, and helping to create more sustainable public facilities for the future.

Being able to extend the social value of that project beyond the construction site and into the heart of the community is something we’re truly passionate about. This initiative is a great example of how investment in energy‑saving and renewable infrastructure can also deliver wider educational and cultural benefits for local families.

Construction isn’t just about buildings—it’s about creating lasting, positive impact.”

A huge well done to everyone involved in making this initiative possible. We look forward to continuing our work in Knowsley and supporting more projects that deliver long‑term social value for local residents.
