Over the past few weeks, Tag Bahriyeli (General Manager) and Sean Hodgkiss (Health & Safety Manager) have demonstrated exceptional commitment by travelling across the country to deliver a series of 12 Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) safety events for our Hoist Engineers.
These sessions form part of our ongoing focus on reinforcing a strong safety culture across the business. At the heart of each event was our core principle — Work Safe, Home Safe — ensuring that every engineer understands both the importance of, and their responsibility for, following critical health and safety procedures while on site.
The events brought to life one of our core values, Safety Always Matters, reinforcing that safe working practices are non-negotiable and must be consistently applied, particularly when operating at height using specialist equipment.
Beyond safety, the sessions also reflected our commitment to Operational Excellence, ensuring that our engineers are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to carry out their work safely and to the highest standard. By maintaining consistency in our approach and expectations, we continue to drive quality and reliability across our operations.
Equally, these events demonstrated our People Focused approach, providing valuable opportunities to engage directly with our engineers, listen to feedback, and support them in maintaining safe and effective working practices. Investing time in face-to-face engagement ensures that our people feel supported, informed, and empowered in their roles.
Finally, by embedding strong safety behaviours and continuous improvement into our day-to-day operations, we contribute to Sustaining Our Future, ensuring the long-term wellbeing of our people, the resilience of our business, and the positive impact we have on the communities we serve.
Their dedication and willingness to go the extra mile have played a vital role in strengthening awareness and consistency in safe working practices across our teams.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Tag and Sean for their hard work, professionalism, and continued commitment to keeping our people safe.
