At MJ Quinn, we deliver critical infrastructure across telecommunications, utilities, and engineering. As our business continues to grow, so does the need for skilled, compliant, and reliable sub‑contractor resource.

We’re now looking for a Recruiter to join our Recruitment Team, supporting the end‑to‑end engagement of sub‑contractor and contingent labour across multiple workstreams. The Role

As a Recruiter, you’ll play a key operational role in ensuring sub‑contractors are engaged efficiently, compliantly, and in line with business requirements. You’ll work closely with hiring managers, agencies, payroll partners, and internal teams to coordinate resourcing activity, manage candidate communications, and maintain accurate recruitment and compliance records.

This is a hands‑on role that combines sourcing, coordination, administration, and stakeholder management – ideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives on organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Proactively source and engage sub‑contractors through approved channels including job boards, agencies, social platforms, networking, and referrals
• Build and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future project and operational requirements
• Coordinate the full recruitment lifecycle for sub‑contractor engagement – from advertising and sourcing through to interview scheduling and offer documentation
• Work closely with hiring managers to understand assignment requirements, skills, availability, and timelines
• Review CVs and conduct initial screening conversations to assess skills, experience, availability, and suitability for assignment‑based work
• Act as a key point of contact for candidates and partners, ensuring clear, professional, and timely communication
• Maintain accurate recruitment and compliance records, ensuring documentation is completed in line with company policies and applicable legislation
• Support appropriate engagement frameworks, ensuring a clear distinction between sub‑contractor and PAYE recruitment processes
• Collaborate with Training and Operations teams to align resourcing activity with business needs
• Support recruitment marketing activity, contractor engagement initiatives, and attendance at relevant industry or networking events

What We’re Looking For

• Experience sourcing and engaging sub‑contractors or contingent labour
• Confidence conducting screening interviews and assessing skills and assignment suitability
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with candidates, agencies, and partners
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple live requirements and changing priorities
• Excellent attention to detail when handling recruitment data and compliance documentation
• Previous experience in a recruitment or resourcing coordination role
• Experience supporting both high‑volume and specialist/niche recruitment

What You’ll Get

• Salary of £26,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)
• 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays
• Standard MJ Quinn benefits package
• Office‑based role in Knowsley L34 but will be relocating to Liverpool L24, with ad‑hoc travel as required.
