Fibre to the premise (FTTP) has recently been welcomed to the Service Delivery arm of MJ Quinn. Due to the current high demand for FTTP and the commitment to roll it out to 20 million UK homes by 2025, Openreach need a mobile, flexible and reactive supplier to assist them reach their goals.

“MJ Quinn have supported Openreach on the Service Delivery contract since 2011 and have trained a large number of engineers to deliver FTTP directly to customers’ homes.”

We are currently servicing 300 FTTP customer installs per week which is due to rise to around 2500 over the coming months. We are present in the North West England; Lancashire, Merseyside, Manchester, West Yorkshire, East Scotland and Bristol.

Later this year we will be looking to ramp up our operations in South Wales, Midlands and North East England.

Our mobile and flexible resource are able to respond to any regional or local spikes in volume. Engineer’s routes are planned and uploaded to their terminals at day-1. Our I.T. team have delivered a seamless interface into Openreach Work Allocator which enables jobs to be returned daily, in real time.

We are utilising the expertise of our purpose built Training Academy in Knowsley to train and upskill individuals and have an experienced network of Area Managers and Coaches supporting our engineers in field every single day to ensure engineers are working safely to provide customers with a great experience.

Our internal Quality Audit team ensure we are exceeding the technical quality standards for our installations. We perform a high number of retrospective and work-in-progress checks on our engineers to continually drive improvements in the quality of our workmanship.

We have a state-of-the-art National Control Centre and Back Office that makes great use of integrated systems and platforms to provide real time progress reporting on all activities. Our Jeopardy Coordinators are always on hand to liaise with our engineers ensuring all customer appointments are met.
